For whatever reason, it seems I've recently bought a number of items with few or no reviews - so I'm making a specific effort to change that! But I don't want to waste your time (or mine) with reviews that don't add value, so I'd really appreciate your feedback by clicking "yes" if you do find any of the following info helpful. Thanks in advance...I've been on something of a Soybu kick lately, which has yielded some fabulous finds, some big disappointments, and above all has made clear how inconsistent this brand's sizing can be from one garment to another - no matter how similar the items appear to be. Soybu tops in particular seem to be all over the map fit- and size-wise, but since I'm fairly busty and broad-shouldered with a proportionally short torso I'm used to some shirt-shopping "trial and error" regardless of brand. To date, I've tried on several Soybu tanks in both Small and Medium sizes, with the Mediums all being too big and many of the Smalls being too small - so (inconsistencies aside) I can say with at least some confidence that I'm in the size Small "range" for this brand. Which is why, after ordering the "Cool It" tank in my best-guess size Small, it seems like there is something fundamentally wrong with the sizing and/or labeling for this item - it's not merely inconsistent, it's out of whack. The tank was tagged as Small, but it could easily have passed for a Large - I assumed it was mis-labeled and almost didn't even try it on because of how big it looked, but then figured I might at least be able to get a sense of whether I liked it enough to re-order.When I tried it on, the whole tank just hung loose on me, so I assumed I had either a mis-labeled (and generously-sized) Medium or Large. I considered ordering another in XS, but I wasn't strongly drawn to any aspect of the tank (fabric, style, etc. aren't particularly unique or noteworthy, particularly not in the plain black) so it didn't seem worth starting the process of trying to figure out the right size. Now, after reading the other 2 reviews posted (and the consensus that this tank definitely runs large) it seems possible that I actually DID get a "Small" tank...and if so, probably even the XS would still be too big. With so few reviews it's hard to say what's going on here, but I kind of wonder whether the fit issue only pertains to certain colors and/or sizes...if the price comes down enough, I may order an XS in one of the colors just to see if one of those actually DOES fit better...UPSHOT: If you wear a size Medium or above, the tank is worth a try...but definitely order DOWN one size. One of those tops where the chest is cut for the few genetically blessed (or surgically endowed) with larger breasts. I'm a 32D - normally wear Soybu size small. There was way too much excess fabric underneath the arms. I returned this due to the ill fit but it also arrived damaged (with a several inch long snag across the front of the top).
